HOW INVISALIGN WORKS
For all the advanced technology that goes into it, Invisalign is surprisingly simple to use. At its most basic, Invisalign consists of a series of clear trays that you wear to gradually move your teeth. Once your teeth have moved to fit the current tray, you move on to the next one, until you’re done. Best of all, most people will never even know you’re wearing them!
Initial Consultation
Invisalign is a highly customized treatment, so the first step will be to visit us for a consultation. Your Dentist will conduct a thorough assessment to determine whether or not you’re a good candidate for Invisalign.
Custom Plan
We’ll make impressions of your teeth to determine their position with pinpoint accuracy. From there we can map out your treatment plan, including exactly how your teeth will move and how long your treatment will be. Once your dental impressions have been taken and your treatment planned, your custom alignment trays will be made to ensure a snug and comfortable fit.
Your Progress
For best results you’ll wear your clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day, taking them out to eat as well as to brush and floss. As soon as your teeth have adjusted to one aligner, you’ll move on to the next one. At every stage you’ll be able to see your progress and imagine your new smile!
Our friendly staff will help you schedule office visits every four to six weeks, depending on your situation.
